A Unique Opportunity
Marcel’s is a new, chef-owned restaurant open Wednesday-Saturday for dinner service only. The restaurant also offers catering and special/private events. Because of our diverse offerings and lean business model, Chef Marcel is looking for a culinarian who can contribute to the creative process of menu creation and event planning. This person will grow their culinary skillset while also learning how to build a successful business in an increasingly competitive environment.

Hours & Compensation
This role would work 24-40 hours per week, primarily Tuesday through Saturday generally between 12:00pm and 10:00pm. Flexibility is granted when possible and additional shifts may arise based on catering orders or events. Compensation ranges from $16-$19/hour plus discretionary bonuses based on restaurant performance. Employees also enjoy 50% off food and drinks.

Objectives of this role

Prepare and plate meals on par with Chef Marcel’s standards

Prepare and package catering orders, balancing quality and volume

Communicate effectively with the rest of the team for seamless meal execution

Ensure food safety

Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment

Responsibilities
-
Prepare and cook menu items such as dressings, sauces, appetizers, sides, and entrees
-
Prep, wash, and chop meal components for larger dishes

Plate meals according to the instructions of Chef Marcel

Restock kitchen items
-
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment

Clean prep station and put away equipment

Preferred Qualifications
